our journey So Far
The Change Engine is a Tech non-profit organisation convinced that Technology has the power to change Africa’s narrative and working to promote the use of Modern Technologies for development and poverty alleviation on the continent.
We are committed to creating awareness and sensitising the masses on the importance of acquiring Digital Skills and are working tirelessly to empower people of all ages with these skills.
The work we do consist primarily of forging novel partnerships with leaders in Industry, Government and Civil Society to create out-of-the box solutions that promote and ease access to Digital Skills and Entrepreneurship training to promote Youth Employability and Entrepreneurship in the Digital Age.
In 2019, The Change Engine, in partnership with the Cameroon National Agency for Information and Communication Technologies (ANTIC) and with the support of Microsoft 4Africa, launched her very first initiative in Cameroon; The Cameroon Digital Skills Campaign, a Conference aimed at promoting Youth Employability and Entrepreneurship in the Digital Age.
We are proud to have hosted the conference successfully for five years in four different regions across the country and looking forward to our sixth edition in 2024. After training over 3000 young people and hosting over 200 speakers and trainers from UNESCO, ITU, Microsoft, Facebook for Africa, Google Digital Skills, The Python Software Foundation, ENEO, ORANGE, MTN, MINESUP, MINFI, MINPOSTEL, MINPESSA, and partnering with organisations like Microsoft for Africa, Google Digital Skills, The Orange Foundation and the Orange Digital centre to train almost 800 women via programs like The Digital Woman Class and Accelerate HER, we are very excited to be taking our mission to promote technology driven economic empowerment in Africa to the next level via our AccelerateHer – 360 Edition!
